Minister Vučević Meets Szalay Bobrovniczsky




Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met Hungarian Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay Bobrovniczsky on the sidelines of the First Session of the Serbia - Hungary Strategic Cooperation Council held in Palić.
 
The Council session will be attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, President of Hungary Katalin Novák, and prime ministers of Serbia and Hungary Ana Brnabić and Viktor Orbán.

At today’s meeting of the two ministers, Minister Vučević stated that the defence cooperation between the two countries is rather comprehensive with potential for its further strengthening, particularly in the areas of military-to-military and military technical cooperation, which would influence the enhancement of the overall relations between Serbia and Hungary.
 
Minister Vučević stressed that the mutual support and cooperation of Serbia and Hungary is of paramount importance for the preservation of the peace and stability in the region in these highly challenging times for the European and global security. He additionally underlined the significance of the Serbia - Hungary Strategic Cooperation Council since it can serve as an example of how other countries should develop and cherish a sincere friendship.
 
The Hungarian Minister of Defence emphasised that the defence cooperation between the two countries is highly developed adding that it is expected to intensify it even more in all areas of mutual interest, which will positively impact the advancement of the overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
 
Following the session of the Strategic Cooperation Council, the two ministers will sign the Agreement on Enhanced Strategic Cooperation in the Field of Defence, which represents another confirmation of the orientation towards further intensification of defence cooperation between the two countries.
