State Secretary Starović meets with outgoing UK Ambassador
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović received a farewell visit today from the outgoing UK Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Sian Christina MacLeod.
State Secretary Starović thanked Ambassador MacLeod for her personal involvement and efforts to improve overall bilateral relations between the two countries, the most developed part of which is defence cooperation.According to him, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia deeply appreciates Ambassador MacLeod’s active involvement and significant contribution to the intensification of bilateral military cooperation. He expressed his satisfaction with the fact that, through joint efforts, we had managed to carry out a number of important activities during her term of office.
During the meeting, State Secretary Starović highlighted Serbia’s determination to continue a high-level dialogue and activities in the key areas of cooperation in the period to come.
At the end of the meeting, State Secretary Starović wished Ambassador MacLeod much success in her future career and expressed his belief that the bilateral relations would continue to develop in areas of mutual interest.Ambassador MacLeod agreed with State Secretary Starović’s assessment of the intensity of the political dialogue and the foundation laid for future development of overall bilateral relations.
Emphasizing that high-level meetings have formed a firm basis for improving cooperation in all areas, Ambassador McLeod highlighted Great Britain’s interest in deepening bilateral military cooperation, for which there is considerable potential.
