Students attending Advanced Security and Defence Studies visit British institutions
The 12th class attending the Advanced Security and Defence Studies (ASDS) at the School of National Defence "Field Marshal Radomir Putnik", led by heads of the School of National Defence and Advanced Security and Defence Studies, colonels Mićo Suvajc and Branko S. Mišić, have been on a study visit to London and the defence and security institutions of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
During their stay in London and the reception hosted on that occasion, ASDS students had the opportunity to learn about the missions and ongoing activities of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Ministry of Defence, the Department for International Trade, the Home Office and the London Police (New Scotland Yard – Metropolitan Police). Also, the delegation had meetings with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) representatives, the head of the UK-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship and Cooperation Group, and the Ambassador of Serbia in London, Aleksandra Joksimović.
Study trips abroad are planned and regular activities undertaken as part of the School of National Defence’s training programme, the goal of which is to familiarize the students with the elements and functioning of the national security systems of other countries, that is, their international security and defence organizations.
