State Secretary Starović meets with Ambassador of Angola
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović met today with the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Serbia, Alcino dos Prazeres Izata Francisco da Conceição.
At the meeting, State Secretary Starović thanked the outgoing Ambassador for successful cooperation during the latter’s term in Serbia and wished him every success in his future career. He also thanked Mr. Conceição for Angola’s principled and consistent non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called “Kosovo”, and for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.State Secretary Starović conveyed the readiness of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia to continue defence cooperation with Angola, especially in the domains of military economy and education.
Ambassador Conceição emphasized Angola’s determination to continue and intensify defence cooperation with Serbia in the sphere of military industry, as well as its intention to continue educating Angolan personnel in Serbian military education institutions.
At the end of the meeting, the two gentlemen agreed that setting up joint committees on defence cooperation had been highly beneficial to the development and improvement in defence cooperation between the two countries in the past and would continue to be so in the period to come.
