Specialized training for AF and AD roles
Soldiers, whose military service started in March this year, are currently undergoing training for the roles they will perform in Air Force and Air Defence branches and services. The training is being conducted at the Specialized Training Centre at "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airfield in Batajnica.
Soldiers serving in this unit are doing theoretical and practical training as operators of Bofors anti-aircraft guns, Neva and Kub missile systems, airborne early warning centre personnel and aircraft maintenance technicians. The training is being conducted in specially equipped study rooms and on missile and radar-computer systems and aircraft, providing soldiers with the best conditions for learning the tactics of employment of these combat assets, operating them and performing basic maintenance on them.
Once they complete their specialized training, soldiers will be transferred to AF and AD units to continue their military service. There they will undergo collective training and be actively involved in everyday activities in the units belonging to this service branch.
