Final Preparation for Demonstration of Capabilities “Granite 2023”



At the military airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica, final preparations are under way for the demonstration of capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces “Granite 2023”which is to take place on Saturday, 22nd April 2023, to mark the Serbian Armed Forces Day.

At the demonstration, the state leadership and citizens will have the opportunity to see capabilities of a part of units of the Serbian Armed Forces, the state-of-the-art arms and military equipment that they use, and a segment of production programme of national defence industry companies.  With some 5,000 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and more than 2,300 pieces of arms and military equipment, this will be the largest demonstration of the forces and capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces ever held.

Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović visited today the members of the Serbian Armed Forces who are undergoing intensive preparations at the airfield in Batajnica. In the conversation with the commander of the demonstration, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković and during the tour, the Chief of General Staff was assured that complex and demanding preparations were going in line with planned dynamics, and that the engaged personnel was highly motivated and professional in the execution of the task.

General Mojsilović invited citizens to come to the airfield in Batajnica on Saturday, to view the demonstration of capabilities and displayed arms, and see first hand that the Serbian Armed Forces, owing to a great cycle of investments initiated several years ago, are a respectable force and a factor to be reckoned with.

The main segment of the demonstration of capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces “Granite 2023” starts at 11.00 hours, and the gates of the military airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” will be open for the citizens from 9.00 to 15.00 hours.
