President Vučić meets with political representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met with political representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs in Raška today. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, members of the Government and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
President Vučić informed the representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs about the measures that the Republic of Serbia would take to help them. President Vučić mainly talked about economic and social measures, but he also referred to the political and security situation in the entire territory of Kosovo and Metohija.

Representatives of Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija informed President Vučić and members of the Government about the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and problems they faced each day. President Vučić urged Kosovo-Metohija Serbs to be united and abide by the decisions reached at today’s meeting.

This is the second meeting President Vučić has held with Kosovo-Metohija Serbs over the past seven days. The previous meeting was held at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade, where they discussed all the issues and the security situation.
Responding to journalists’ questions, President Vučić said, with regard to the British Reuters news agency’s allegations, that Serbia did not and would not export weapons or ammunition to Ukraine.

- There is no document showing that, but there is something else here. Will something appear on one or the other side of the battlefield? Well, it certainly will, because we sell ammunition, but we sell it to authorized end-users, not to Ukraine or Russia. When you sell something to someone in Turkey, it can end up on either side of the battlefield. When you sell something to Spain or the Czech Republic, you know where it can end up. Do we sell weapons or ammunition to Ukraine or Russia? No, we don’t, nor will we – said President Vučić.

Speaking about the international tactical exercise “Platinum Wolf 23”, President Vučić said that our soldiers gained new knowledge thanks to such exercises, and added that Serbia’s policy was clear.
- Serbia is a neutral country. Serbia will not change its position of military neutrality. No, we will not join NATO; we will not join any military alliance, including the eastern one. We want to protect our own country, our own sky – said President Vučić and invited all citizens to attend the Serbian Armed Forces capabilities demonstration “Granite 2023” at Batajnica’s “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” military airfield on April 22 on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day.
