New issue of “ODBRANA“
The April issue of “Odbrana” contains a number of interesting texts. The INTERVIEW WITH A CAUSE section contains an interview with Colonel Miroslav Vukosavljević, MD, PhD, head of the Military Medical Academy, on the occasion of this institution’s anniversary. He speaks about the novelties in the MMA’s operation and the future procurement of equipment. He also announces that the MMA will have additional working hours again as of April 3.
As April 23 - Serbian Armed Forces Day approaches, we have painted a portrait of the Serbian Armed Forces, presenting three SAF members: Lieutenant Colonel Igor Đorđević, commander of the 241st Fighter-Bomber Squadron (98th Air Brigade), Major Miloš Milošević, commander of the 30th Command Battalion (3rd Army Brigade) and River Flotilla’s Sergeant First Class Dalibor Anđelković.
Our journalists have followed closely the training conducted at the 28th Mechanized Battalion (2nd Army Brigade) and preparations of the 1st Air Defence Missile Battalion (250th Air Defence Missile Brigade) for departure to the Shabla training grounds in Bulgaria. We have also attended the display of skills of the Military Academy cadets and students of the MMA’s Medical Faculty, which was held to mark the Military Academy Day.We have visited the “Milutin Milanković” Students’ Residence Hall, an establishment linked to the Serbian Armed Forces by a special bond and dedicated to tradition and a value system that affirms patriotism, but also tolerance and respect for diversity.
The ARSENAL section presents the details on Abu Dhabi’s International Defence Exhibition "IDEX 2023".
The GLOBAL section is dedicated to current global issues: migration and extremism.
The CULTURE section contains a text on a series (30 episodes) based on the novel “A Time of Death” by Dobrica Ćosić, and an article giving a different reading of “A Time of Death” written by a second lieutenant, describing a generation that could not have survived had it not searched within itself the energy of survival worth remembering.
