- A patient was brought today to the Emergency Centre by ambulance accompanied by a doctor. We learned that she had sustained injuries after falling from the seventh floor. She was brought in a serious condition, unconscious, with an unmeasurable blood pressure, fast heart rate, without diuresis. She was immediately intubated and connected to a mechanical ventilator, she was given CPR immediately, and after re-establishing the vital functions, she was sent for diagnostic testing, which included a CT scan of the head, X-ray and CT scan of the chest, the ultrasound and CT scan of the abdomen, a whole spine scan, and a pelvic CT scan including both hips. When the results came in, she was examined by a neurosurgeon, a surgeon, an orthopaedist, a thoracic surgeon, a vascular surgeon and a cardiac surgeon. These are serious physical injuries. After initial resuscitation, her treatment continues at the Emergency Centre’s Intensive Care Unit B using a multidisciplinary approach - said Dr. Damnjanović.
