Completion of Basic Strategic Defence Planning Course
A two-week “Basic strategic defence planning course” organised by the Strategic Planning Department of the Sector for Defence Policy was concluded today, and the attenders received certificates on successful completion of the course.
Head of Strategic Planning Department Colonel Slaven Vujić presented the certificates and, on that occasion, he particularly emphasised the enthusiasm and interactive approach of the course attenders. During the two weeks, they performed exercises relating to the assessment of strategic environment, challenges, risks and threats, and formulation of required capabilities, and identifying differences between intended and existing capabilities of defence system, and defining the needs and measures by elements of capabilities, as well as to describing, validation and ranking the options for system of defence development.
For the first time the course has been conducted in the Strategic Planning Department with the involvement of lecturers from the Strategic Planning Department of Defence Policy Sector, Military Academy and Development and Equipment Directorate (J-5) of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
