Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan signed with United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Colonel Nebojša Svijetlica, met with the UK Defence Attaché, Colonel Sacha Tomes, today. At the meeting, the 2023 Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan was signed between the two ministries of defence.
Colonel Svjetlica said that the main areas of cooperation between the two countries were military medicine, education and military to military cooperation. He added that high-level visits were a special impulse prompting the improvement in relations and cooperation.
Colonel Tomes agreed that it was important to maintain continuity of high-level dialogue and emphasized the UK’s willingness to enhance defence cooperation with Serbia.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the modalities and prospects for defence cooperation in the coming period, and it was concluded that defence cooperation was the best part of the overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
