New issue of "ODBRANA"
The SYSTEM section in this month’s issue of "Odbrana" magazine contains several articles about cold-weather military training. We have spent some time with the members of the BRDM-2M Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion and the Military Academy cadets at the 51st Ski Range in Kopaonik, as well as with the 2nd Army Brigade scouts on Mount Goč. We have visited the 119th Mixed Helicopter Squadron and spent a day with its members. We have found out what makes the 4th Army Brigade’s "Dobrosin" base - the best base in the Army, and the Prokuplje-based 310th Engineer Battalion of the 3rd Army Brigade - the best Army battalion.
We have also marked some important dates. In this issue, you can read an interview given to us by Colonel Mile Vitezović, head of the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6), Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, on the occasion of the IT Service Day - February 21. In this interview, he speaks about the importance of information and communications technology in everyday life, emphasizing that “Information has always been one of the parameters of power, but rapid progress in the information and communications technology in recent decades has made it instrumental in winning battles and wars”.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the Military Geographical Institute "General Stevan Bošković", our first and only military establishment that bore the name ‘institute’ for a long time, which celebrates a centenary of bearing the name “Military Geographical Institute”, we have spoken with the director of the Institute, Colonel Dejan Đorđević, PhD.

The exhibition "Heroines of Pavle Beljanski’s Memorial Collection", which is displayed in the Central Military Club’s Grand Gallery, is one of the topics covered in the CULTURE section. We have visited the exhibition made up of superb works of seven Serbian female artists: Nadežda Petrović, Vidosava Kovačević, Zora Petrović, Ljubica Sokić, Leposava St. Pavlović, Liza Križanić and Milica Zorić – which are part of the collection of the famous art collector and diplomat Pavle Beljanski.
The SPORTS section contains an article about a member of the 4th Army Brigade - Corporal Miloš Trajković from Vranje. Thanks to the victories and goals he has scored at numerous futsal tournaments at home and abroad, he has been offered a place on the Serbian national futsal team and the Serbian Armed Forces national futsal team.
A special supplement is dedicated to the current topic of unmanned aerial vehicles that are ushering in a new era of warfare.
