Meeting between Minister Vučević and Chief of Cypriot National Guard Zervakis



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met with the Chief of the Cypriot National Guard, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, at the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX 2023” in Abu Dhabi today.
Minister Vučević thanked Cyprus for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and EU integration process. The two interlocutors agreed that bilateral defence cooperation was very good and developed, and that there was potential for improving it further. Ways to further improve military-economic and military-technical cooperation were also discussed.
 
General Zervakis noted that military-to-military cooperation with the Serbian Armed Forces was one of the National Guard’s priorities and emphasized their commitment to carrying out the activities defined by the Bilateral Military Cooperation Program, which was recently signed in Nicosia.
