“Stanislav Binički“ Ensemble at St. Sava Ball in Vienna
Last night, the MoD’s artistic ensemble “Stanislav Binički” participated at the 24th St. Sava Ball organized by the Serbisches Zentrum association. The ball was held at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna.
This year's event boasted a rich artistic programme and a typical ballroom atmosphere. It was attended by more than 1,500 guests and traditional Serbian ballroom music and popular compositions were performed to the joy of the large audience. In addition to "Stanislav Binički" and “Dankina Brojanica” ensembles, Vienna’s A Choir, Bojana Stamenov, Boris Režak, Ljubica Vraneš, Dragoljub Bajić and many others appeared on stage. Serbian cultural clubs, Serbs living in Austria, and the Ballet of the Belgrade National Theatre, took turns on the dance floor.
For over two centuries, the Hofburg Palace has hosted balls with a long tradition, and this is the first time the “St. Sava Ball” has been held at the Hofburg Palace.
