Study visit to Serbian Armed Forces General Staff
The 66th class attending the General Staff Course at the "Field Marshal Radomir Putnik" National Defence School paid a study visit to the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff today.
This study visit was organized as part of the Military Strategy subject syllabus in order to familiarize the officers at this stage of career development with the role of the SAF General Staff in the defence system, as well as the functions and tasks it performs. The head of the Operations Department (J-3), Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, took the opportunity to brief the participants on the SAF’s contribution to security building, employment planning and prospects of capability development. Representatives of the Development and Equipment Department (J-5) and Training and Doctrine Department (J-7), Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, also delivered lectures.
The General Staff Course is the third level of special officer training programmes offered by the Defence University, where course participants receive training for highest command and leadership roles in the defence system.
