Soldiers undergo specialized training in Army Training Centre
Soldiers who started performing their military service in December last year are currently doing specialized training in the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
In this Training Command Centre, soldiers are training for various infantry, artillery and armoured branch specialties.
The training, which lasts for six weeks, is being conducted on the "General Pavle Jurišić Šturm" barracks’ training grounds, followed by field training outside the units’ peacetime locations. The soldiers are being trained to use personal and collective weapons and explosive devices and are practicing the execution of offensive and defensive tactical actions and procedures, in preparation for specific duties they will be performing within their branches. At this training stage, the soldiers are mainly practicing the combat use of mortars, "Nora" and "Oganj" artillery systems, M-84 tanks and M-80A infantry fighting vehicles, and are preparing for scheduled firing practices in the coming period.
Specialized training for this class of soldiers finishes at the end of February with a test of individual skills, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and everyday activities of SAF units until the end of their military service.
