Meeting between State Secretary Starović and Ambassador of Israel



State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Serbia, Yahel Vilan, today.
State Secretary Starović said that the development of relations with Israel was based on historical closeness of Serbs and Jews, which was also demonstrated through mutual suffering in concentration camps in the Balkans and Europe in World War II.  

Ambassador Vilan emphasized that Israel views Serbia as an important partner and that it was committed to further promoting cooperation in all areas of interest for both countries.
Starović and Vilan agreed that there was potential for improvement in bilateral defence cooperation.
