Anniversaries of death of field marshals Živojin Mišić and Petar Bojović and Army General Pavle Jurišić Šturm
An MoD and SAF delegation, lead by Brigadier General Muharem Fazlić, laid wreaths today at Belgrade’s New Cemetery to mark the anniversaries of death of field marshals Živojin Mišić and Petar Bojović and Army General Pavle Jurišić Šturm.
Wreaths were also laid by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, the City of Belgrade, and associations preserving the memory of the early 20th century Serbian liberation wars.
Field marshals Živojin Mišić and Petar Bojović and General Pavle Jurišić Šturm participated in Serbo-Turkish War, (1876–78), Serbo-Bulgarian War in 1885, Balkan Wars and the First World War.
All three died in Belgrade, Field Marshal Mišić on January 20, 1921, Field Marshal Bojović on January 19, 1945, and Army General Pavle Jurišić Šturm on January 14, 1922.
