Meeting between Minister of Defence and Egyptian Ambassador



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Serbia, H.E. Bassel Salah Mostafa Ahmed, today.
Minister Vučević said that Egypt was one of Serbia’s most significant partners in the Arab World and Africa and said he was glad that both sides indicated readiness to further strengthen cooperation and overall relations, which were traditionally at a high level.

During the conversation, Minister Vučević assessed defence cooperation between the two countries as good, particularly due to the efforts of the Mixed Military Committee. 
Ambassador Ahmed agreed that cooperation between the two countries should be strengthened and emphasized the significance of last year’s visit from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Serbia. He said that preparations for the upcoming session of the Mixed Military Committee were underway in Egypt, which, according to him, would be an excellent opportunity to define guidelines for further promotion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
