Minister of Defence sends message of congratulations for Air Force and Air Defence Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević has sent a message of congratulations on the occasion of December 24 – Air Force and Air Defence Day, which reads as follows:
“I extend my warmest congratulations to all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on December 24, the Air Force and Air Defence Day.
Upholding the traditions of military aviation for more than a century, you develop the values of your service in a unique manner by meeting modern requirements.
Your dedication and professionalism confirm that the Air Force and Air Defence units of the Serbian Armed Forces are worthy successors of the 1912 Serbia, which was one of the fifteen countries in the world that had an air force and one of the first five in the world that used aircraft in combat operations during the Balkan Wars.
By participating in exercises at home and abroad, you have shown that you deserve a place among the most modern units of foreign militaries, due to the professional training of your members, which is also one of the main prerequisites for a good operational and functional capability of this service of the Serbian Armed Forces.
I congratulate you on your jubilee, hoping that you will continue to be an active player in the reorganization of the Armed Forces, as well as in new security trends in the country and the region."
