President of Republic Aleksandar Vučić sends message of congratulations for Air Force and Air Defence Day
Today, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, sent a message of congratulations to members of the Air Force and Air Defence on the occasion of December 24 – the Air Force and Air Defence Day. The message reads as follows:
“I would like to congratulate all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on December 24, the Air Force and Air Defence Day.
On that day, exactly 110 years ago, on the basis of a decree issued by the Serbian Ministry of the Army and General Staff, Field Marshal Radomir Putnik passed a decision to establish the Air Force Command based in Niš.
Drawing on unrivalled experience and knowledge, and showing a high level of professionalism, your units are able to respond to all the challenges they face, without exception.
The Republic of Serbia is aware of the extent to which it can rely on your engagement. Therefore, you may rest assured that efforts to modernize Serbian Air Force will not diminish in the forthcoming period.
Confident that you will continue to carry out your tasks successfully in the future, contributing not only to the development of your units, but also to the affirmation of the Air Force as a whole, for which you have the state’s wholehearted support, I congratulate you on your jubilee”.
