Meeting between President Vučić and JFC Naples Commander
Today, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić received the Commander of Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples, Admiral Stuart Munsch, with whom he discussed the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the cooperation with NATO as part of Serbia’s policy of military neutrality.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
President Vučić and Admiral Munsch discussed ways to improve cooperation between Serbia and NATO at different levels and agreed that keeping regular dialogue between the officials of both sides was of the utmost importance for building up mutual trust.
President Vučić said that members of KFOR played an important role in maintaining peace and stability and protecting Serbs and other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo and Metohija.
"We want peace and stability more than anything else. The only thing we ask of you is to protect our people in Kosovo and Metohija in accordance with the Kumanovo Agreement and UN Resolution 1244," said President Vučić.
Admiral Munsch thanked Serbia for its cooperation with KFOR and pointed out that NATO considered Serbia a valuable partner and respected its military neutrality.
