Meeting between Minister Vučević and Ambassador of Republic of Armenia



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met with the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Serbia, Ashot Hovakimian, today.
  Minister Vučević thanked Armenia for providing constant support to the preservation of the territorial integrity of Serbia and the protection of its national interests.

He emphasized Serbia’s long-term strategic commitment to maintaining the neutral status without being a member of any existing military-political organizations, as well as our efforts to settle all open issues in Kosovo and Metohija peacefully, through dialogue between interested parties.
  Ambassador Hovakimian expressed appreciation for the reception and personal involvement in organizing the commemoration of the anniversary of the death of Serbian airmen who were delivering humanitarian aid to the earthquake-stricken population of Armenia in 1988. He noted that the Armenian people deeply appreciated the sacrifice of those brave people and that for that reason a ceremony had been organized in Novi Sad and Belgrade on December 12 to remember that noble gesture.
