Delegation of Austrian Ministry of Defence Visits Serbia
Head of Organisation Department Colonel Milan Milanović met in Belgrade the Head of Directorate for Personnel Issues and Organisation of Austrian Ministry of Defence Brigadier General Andreas Schlegel PhD with whom he talked about the projection of efficient organisation systems and possible solutions for problems that accompany the process of organisation projecting of ministry of defence and armed forces. Topics of the talks included models of job evaluation in defence and security sector and future trends in the development of armed forces organisation.
Head of Compulsory Defence Service Department Colonel Goran Desančić and Head of Personnel Department Colonel Zlatko Mišić talked to their Austrian colleagues about trends regarding preparations for defence. Topics that were singled out were the issues relating to advantages and disadvantages of models of voluntary military service, preparation and training of citizens to act in emergencies and war, career management models both for professional servicemen and civilians.
The two-day talks of delegations of ministries of defence of Serbia and Austria were based on experiences of the two countries that are not members of any military alliance, both being members of the Partnership for Peace, that share similarities in territorial and demographic respect and manning models.
