Finance Service Day marked



A ceremony to mark the Finance Service Day and its 78th anniversary was held at the Guard Club in Topčider today.
  Assistant Minister for Budget and Finance Katarina Pavičić wished everyone success in their future work and referred to the most significant tasks carried out since the previous anniversary.

- The results we have achieved in a very short period of time through joint efforts and synergy have significantly improved the financial management system and created conditions for the continuation and completion of reform processes. These results oblige us to complete the processes mentioned above in a responsible and professional manner – said Assistant Minister for Budget and Finace Pavičić.

Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who have demonstrated great commitment at work over the past year received awards and gifts.

The Finance Service Day is celebrated on this date in memory of November 8, 1944 when the Finance Department was established at the National Defence Commissariat, which later became the main finance authority in the Yugoslav People's Liberation Army.  Thus, the finance service was legally constituted as a separate service within the military organization.
