Infantry soldiers undergo specialized training
The infantry soldiers who joined the military in September 2022 are currently going through specialized training on the training grounds of the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
The soldiers are learning how to use personal and collective infantry weapons in combat and are being trained in offensive and defensive tactical actions and procedures. The training programme includes aspects such as tactics, familiarization with infantry weapons and equipment and weapons training, with an emphasis on the execution of tactical and fire missions in the field, independently or as part of a section. The soldiers are being instructed in land navigation and movement on the battlefield, they are learning how to choose cover, use camouflage and CBRN devices and neutralize targets.
At the end of the soldiers’ specialized training in late November, their individual skills will be tested. Afterwards, they will proceed to their collective training and assume active role in the life and work of SAF units until the end of their military service.
