Completion of International CIMIC Course
The International CIMIC Course, organized by the CIMIC Department (J-9), Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, was concluded today and certificates were awarded to the participants at the "Car Lazar" Barracks, Kruševac.
During the two-week course, the participants covered theoretical content related to the activities of civilian organizations in the UN and EU areas of operation and received practical training in performing different roles in CIMIC teams and units.
The course was attended by officers and NCOs serving in the Serbian Armed Forces and armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, USA, Netherlands and Montenegro, as well as representatives of Serbian civilian institutions.
The training was delivered by a combined team of instructors from the SAF and armed forces of Italy, USA and Netherlands, as well as visiting lecturers from the MOI Sector for Emergency Management, Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations and the Red Cross of Serbia.
The effective delivery of this international course has increased the level of training of Serbian CIMIC officers and NCOs, and improved bilateral cooperation with the armed forces of partner states.
