High level of competence in anti-tank warfare
As part of the active phase of Joint Exercise Manoeuvres 2022, SAF units armed with the "Kornet" anti-tank missiles are undergoing intensive training in the use of these weapons in combat.
During the training which lasts for several days, the "Kornet" crews practice the tactics and carry out live firings in order to improve their anti-tank warfare skills and check the reliability and firepower of this modern system.The results of live firings indicate that the battle crews possess great skill in delivering precise and efficient fire against assigned targets and are well-prepared for waging successful anti-tank warfare during defensive and offensive operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The "Kornet" anti-tank missile system is one of the best state-of-the-art anti-armour systems, and can also be used to destroy helicopters and fortified facilities. It has optical and thermal imaging sights for target detection and tracking at night and in restricted visibility, and uses armour-piercing and thermobaric guided missiles against targets.
