Participation of Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces in 65th Belgrade Book Fair
The Media Centre "Odbrana", Public Relations Department, Ministry of Defence, will present its publications to readers at this year's 65th International Belgrade Book Fair, along with more than 400 other exhibitors, gathered together under the slogan "The Written Return".
After tonight's grand opening of the event, the culture adviser to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Dejan Savić, visited the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces stand, in the presence of the Head of the Public Relations Department, Colonel Mihailo Zogović, PhD. The stand was also visited by numerous other public figures.
The director of the Media Centre "Odbrana" Lieutenant Colonel Biljana Pašić and head of the Publishing Section Goran Janjić presented to the lovers of the “military” literature this publishing house’s offer covering a wide range of themes including military literature, historical books, non-fiction, geopolitics books, books on military technology, military health, art, as well as textbooks that are used at the Defence University.
Over the next few days, until October 30, visitors to the MoD and SAF stand (Hall 1) will be presented with a wide range of books under the slogan "From Tradition to the Future". The books on offer are not only intended for a narrow circle of people interested in military literature, but also for the general public, with the aim of familiarizing them with different segments of the defence system.
According to the data of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, with around 150 titles per year, the military publishing house is ranked among the top five publishers in the country.
