Chief of Serbian Armed Forces visits Republic of Slovenia

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, is paying an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia, at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Robert Glavaš.
The official part of the visit has begun today with a welcome ceremony for our delegation at the General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces in Ljubljana, followed by a meeting between generals Mojsilović and Glavaš and official talks between delegations of the two counties' armed forces.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange opinions on the current regional and global security situation, the prospects of multilateral regional initiatives, the defence cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia so far, as well as the possibilities of its improvement. It was agreed that the development of military-to-military bilateral cooperation should be continued in the forthcoming period through joint activities, primarily in the field of training.
General Mojsilović took the opportunity to underline the importance of defence cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia, not only at bilateral level but also as part of regional initiatives, having in mind that both countries face similar security challenges, risks and threats. He also pointed out that the Republic of Serbia was pursuing a balanced defence policy, in accordance with its national interests and foreign policy priorities, with full respect for the principles of territorial integrity and independence of states, as well as the principle of military neutrality.

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff has also met with State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Damir Crnčec and, while in Slovenia, he is expected to visit the 132nd Mountain Regiment of the Slovenian Armed Forces in Bohinjska Bela.
