Minister Stefanović: Croatia should have guts and openly say that it is bothered by Serbia and Vučić
Statement of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD:
“Croatia cannot hide the fact that it played dirty against Serbia, no matter how hard its Prime Minister tried to find an excuse. There is no excuse for the vile misuse of the membership of the EU to damage Serbia, as immediate neighbour. In vain are the efforts of Andrej Plenković to shield himself behind EU decisions banning the import of Russian petroleum in Serbia, because the fact remains that both he and his state demanded such measure for no reason and without any significance for the EU, apart from causing damage to Serbia. That is the only motive of Croatia, its Government and its Prime Minister.
And now they blame Aleksandar Vučić because he immediately, clearly and precisely stated that what they do has nothing to do with Europe, or its values, but is just the matter of their malice and never-ending desire to damage Serbia. There is no hiding behind the European Union, and let Plenković have guts and openly say that he is frustrated by strong and developed Serbia, and that this is his main policy, not some European unity.No matter how much Zagreb tried, Serbia will not give up its policy, nor its strong development, which obviously annoys Croatia and its leadership so much. And it will especially not stop President Vučić in leading Serbia on that path, although that is something that they would like the most. Serbia is strong enough to have solutions for far more difficult problems than those which Croatia and its Prime Minister are trying to face it with. It is so because it has a pure and clear policy of its development, and because it has the President who enjoys huge respect in entrie Europe.
