Training in NORA-B52 Self-Propelled Gun-Howitzer Battalion
The crews of 155mm Nora B-52 self-propelled gun-howitzers are going through collective training on the training grounds and exercise area in the vicinity of Niš.
This routine training for combat crews of this modern artillery system is conducted in the Self-Propelled Gun-Howitzer Battalion, Mixed Artillery Brigade, with the aim of maintaining combat readiness.
The crews are practicing the occupation of firing position, timely target acquisition, operating the automated fire-control system and indirect firing, in line with the established standards and norms for the efficient use of this combat system.
The 155 mm Nora B-52 M-15 self-propelled gun-howitzer is a fully automated system, characterized by high accuracy and precision of artillery fire, with minimum time to occupy and exit the firing position and process data. The Mixed Artillery Brigade contains a battalion with three batteries armed with Noras, whose introduction into operational use has significantly improved the unit's ability to deliver strong, sudden and rapid fire at targets of tactical, operational and strategic importance.
