New force protection platoon rotation deploys to UNIFIL
Yesterday, a Training Command’s force protection platoon deploying to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was seen off at the "Constantine the Great" аirport in Niš.
Over the next six months, the Force Protection Platoon will be working as part of the Italian contingent, securing the UN base in Sector West. In Lebanon, they will replace the previous platoon rotation, which has successfully completed all mandated tasks. 
The Serbian Armed Forces have been participating in the UNIFIL since 2010, deploying a force protection platoon, staff officers, members of the national support element and an infantry company, which carries out its tasks in Sector East as part of the Spanish battalion in a multinational brigade.
