Cadet Brigade change of command ceremony
A change of command ceremony was held today at the Military Academy. Lieutenant Colonel Milan Končar received command of the Cadet Brigade from the outgoing commander, Colonel Ivan Orbović.
The ceremony was attended by the Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, PhD, who said that a generational change in responsible positions is a natural process in the military. He thanked Colonel Orbović for his cooperation and wished him a lot of success in his new position. He congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Končar on accepting the new position, praised his work so far and added that a lot was expected of him in the coming period.
- As an experienced teacher, I expect you to proactively participate in the integration of the educational and pedagogical work of the Military Academy, to nurture the rich military tradition, but also to understand modern human needs - said Colonel Blagojević.The outgoing Cadet Brigade Commander, Colonel Orbović, said that it had been a great honour to serve as the commander. He expressed hope that his successor would improve the situation in the Cadet Brigade in his new role.
The newly appointed Cadet Brigade Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Končar, is reported as saying that this is the greatest accomplishment in his career, that by being appointed to this position, he has been given great honour and trust, but also responsibility. He said that he would focus on further development of military personnel and provision of education to officers of all branches and services, drawing on his experience and knowledge.
