Telecommunications soldiers undergo specialized training
Soldiers who have been performing their military service in telecommunications corps since June this year are undergoing specialized training at the Serbian Armed Forces’ IT and Signals Training Centre, Gornji Milanovac.
During the six-week training, soldiers assigned to this unit train as teletype operators, radio teletype operators, radio relay operators and radio telephone operators.
The training programme covers various topics teaching the soldiers how to operate radios used by SAF units, the focus being on a fast dispatch of encrypted and open texts and practical work as part of radio relay system crews when setting up telecommunications stations.
When they complete their individual specialized training at the IT and Signals Training Centre at the end of this month, soldiers will be referred to SAF units where they will have the opportunity to apply and build upon the acquired knowledge.
