"Kub" missile system combat crews’ training
The “Kub” missile system combat crews’ routine training is underway at the locations where the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade self-propelled battalions are based.
During the training, the unit members practice the combat use and basic maintenance of missile and technical means. The aim is to improve the air defence of Serbian troops, important facilities and areas from reconnaissance activities and air attacks.The training programme includes all details relating to the “Kub” missile system employment and maintenance tactics. At this time, the focus is on practicing standardized tactical actions undertaken when taking up the fire position and shifting a self-propelled missile battery into the state of combat-readiness in line with the defined standards, since the speed of reaction plays a critical part in carrying out the assigned task efficiently. Practice like this enables the units to meet the set deadlines, which is quite demanding and requires supreme individual skills.
The “Kub” missile system is designed to destroy aerial targets at low and medium altitudes. It is characterized by high mobility and possibility of centralized command and fire control at battalion level.
