Minister Stefanović: Try as he might, Kurti fails to conceal his evil intentions
Statement by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD:
"No matter how hard he tries to hide his evil intentions, Albin Kurti has confirmed with his statement today that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is rightly concerned about the information that the killing of Serbs living in the north of Kosovo and Metohija is being prepared.
There is no point in commenting on Kurti's eulogies to himself, and boasting about being "a man of hope, progress, peace and economic development", as he describes himself. He says that the so-called Priština institutions speak best about them. They also speak of the fact that 400,000 people in Kosovo and Metohija live on one euro a day and that the economic situation has never been worse there. Kurti is no longer able to deceive even the Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija, much less the international community, whose message is finally becoming clearer - the Community of Serb Municipalities must be formed. Of course, in accordance with the Brussels Agreement the two sides signed in 2013, with the guarantees from the European Union.
That is why Kurti is ready to do anything today, and is obviously determined to cause instability and conflicts, which is why all the information coming in about the planned violence and killing of Serbs in the north is extremely worrying. It is clear that, even in a short statement to the media, Kurti cannot conceal his true intentions towards the Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija, calling those people, who live in their centuries-old homes and fight for survival in our southern province, criminal gangs.
The difficult and challenging times ahead require Serbia, led by President Vučić, to use all its strength to preserve peace and stability, but also to send a clear message that Serbia will not allow a new pogrom against its people."
