Visit by the Deputy Chief of Defence of the Bulgarian Army



Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mladen Cirkovic, received today the Deputy Chief of Defence of the Bulgarian Army, Vice Admiral Minko Kavaldziev in his visit to the Republic of Serbia.

General Cirkovic and Vice Admiral Kavaldziev discussed about the promoting of the bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Bulgaria.

According to General Cirkovic they discussed the situation in the region, state and processes of transformation of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Bulgarian Army, analysing also the bilateral military cooperation.

- The commitment of both states and armies is clear – as much cooperation and joint activities as possible in order to ensure stability and security in the region. The Military cooperation so far was successful and there are possibilities to improve it in the future, given their closeness and similarities - General Cirkovic said after the meeting.

- I agree with General Cirkovic. Our cooperation is beneficial for both armies and it is a guarantee of the security in the region. Bulgaria is satisfied with the bilateral military cooperation and hopes that this cooperation will be reinforced in the future. Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria extended the message that Bulgaria wants to cooperate with the Serbian Armed Forces on the path to integration, and that he hoped the cooperation between the two armies improved the security in the region – Vice Admiral Kavaldziev said and highlighted the significant achievements of the Serbian Armed Forces in the last period.
