Members of SAF provide assistance to villagers in Prijepolje municipality
At the request of the Mayor of Prijepolje Municipality, the Serbian Armed Forces have been engaged in providing the locals residing in this area with drinking water since yesterday.
As the level of water coming from the water source has decreased due to heavy drought, SAF members are being engaged primarily in refilling the tanks with water used for households and livestock. So far, they have delivered water to the villages of Hisardžik, Rasno and Kolovrat (Čadinje). They continue to provide assistance to Velika Župa, Miljevići and surrounding settlements in Prijepolje Municipality.Besides Prijepolje, SAF members have also been engaged in providing drinking water to the Pešter Highland villages where heavy drought has threatened the very survival of livestock.
Currently, the Serbian Armed Forces are also taking part in other CIMIC projects which aim to help the citizens and build mutual confidence. SAF have shown readiness to help the citizens at a moment’s notice on numerous occasions by providing assistance all over the country when most needed.
