Serbian Armed Forces assist in supplying Pešter Plateau villagers with water
At the request of the mayor of Sjenica, members of the Serbian Armed Forces are helping deliver drinking water to the residents of the Pešter Plateau villages.
The Serbian Armed Forces have deployed three water tankers holding 13,000 litres of water in total, for the local residents and livestock which were facing deadly consequences due to the drought.
At the weekend, members of the Serbian Armed Forces were delivering water and refilling water wells and water tanks in the villages of Bioc, Buđevo, Dolići, Karajukića Bunari, Ostra and Rasno, and they will stay in the field for as long as necessary.
Earlier this month, the Serbian Armed Forces deployed an engineer working group as part of a civil-military cooperation project, to dig new and clean the existing livestock watering points.
Once again, the Serbian Armed Forces have shown that they are always ready to assist the citizens in need, and in this area they have provided assistance on numerous occasions, constructing the roads and waterways, clearing snow deposits, delivering water and providing medical assistance to residents of the most remote villages.
