Celebration of Second Army Brigade Day
Today, in the barracks “Ribnica” in Kraljevo, a celebration was held to mark the Day of the Second Army Brigade, which is celebrated in memory of 12th July 1805 when Serbian rebels freed Karanovac, today’s Kraljevo.
In the framework of the holiday celebration, the results achieved by the unit in the previous period were reviewed, the greeting messages read, and the best individuals received awards and recognitions. Today, the Brigade also celebrates St. Peter’s Day (Petrovdan), its Slava - a holiday dedicated to patron saints, Saint Apostles Peter and Paul.
The celebration was attended by Deputy Commander of the Army Major General Slađan Stamenković, representatives of Serbian Armed Forces units, bodies of local self-government, religious communities, veterans’ associations, and representatives of organisations and companies that cooperate with the unit.
