Equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with Modern Assets Continues
Today, in Pančevo, Chief of General Staff General Milan Mojsilović visited units of the Central Logistic Base intended for storing movable property for requirements of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
On this occasion, General Mojsilović toured the facilities for the storage of basic and technical material assets and spare parts, and he was convinced of the high level of competence of the professional staff for the execution of tasks of receiving the equipment from the production and market, distribution and replenishment for the end users in the system of defence.
During the tour, the Chief of General Staff was informed about characteristics and capabilities of recently acquired military tractor-trailers MAN 6x6 with semi-trailers for the transport of fighting vehicles, the fielding of which is further enhancing the mobility of forces and the safety of military transport.
Expressing his satisfaction with the observed state and the tempo of the procurement of modern assets and military equipment for the Serbian Armed Forces, the Chief of General Staff pointed out the significance of the Central Logistics Base units for the creation of favourable conditions for the organisation of life and work, and conduct of operations. He also announced that, along with the strong support of the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić, further equipping and overall strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces will be continued even in the new economic and security circumstances.
During the visit to the units of the Central Logistics Base the Chief of General Staff was accompanied by Chief of Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the General Staff Major General Srđan Petković.
