Ceremony to mark commencement of training for June 2022 Class
A new class of SAF soldiers, performing their voluntary military service as of early June, was marked yesterday at the Basic Training Centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.
Previously, soldiers had gone through an adaptation period, were issued personal weapons and equipment, got acquainted with basic rules governing the life and work in the SAF and prepared for a period of intense training. Over the next five weeks, they will receive basic training in handling personal weapons and basic tactical actions and procedures in battle, receive instruction in close-order drill and Service Regulations and improve their physical fitness.
As the first period concludes, soldiers will be assigned to specialized training centres and trained for their branch/service-specific duties. Afterwards, they will attend collective training in SAF units until the end of their military service.
