New issue of "ODBRANA"

We have prepared a number of interesting topics for you in the June issue of “Odbrana” magazine.

After a summary of the most important activities undertaken by the most prominent people at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, which is traditionally included in the IN FOCUS section, we recommend that you read our INTERVIEW WITH A CAUSE with Head of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, PhD.

In the STANDPOINT section, you can read the exclusive story "Children of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" about new technologies used in the production of robotic combat systems by Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, PhD.

As a rule, the SYSTEM section is full of training content, information and attractive photos from a number of firing ranges and training grounds where the military is continually improving its capabilities. The same section includes an account of the International UN Peacekeepers’ Day, which was marked at the Peacekeeping Operations Centre at the end of May. It also contains texts about the best doctoral dissertation in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, whose author is Colonel Rade Pavlović, PhD, and the best research project supervised by Milan Živanović, B.Eng., Head of Missile Launchers Division, Sector for Missile Weapons at the Military Technical Institute.
Everything you want to know about the new FK-3 air defence missile system, which was promoted at the end of April, can be found in the TECHNOLOGY section, and the GLOBAL section provides an answer to the question - will 2021 be remembered for the growth in the world military expenditure?

Who better to present to you the new book "Power and Strength - Serbia and the Military Factor in International Politics" than its author, Colonel Veljko Blagojević, PhD? You can read about this collaborative publication of the Strategic Research Institute and the Media Centre "Odbrana" in the CULTURE section. The TRADITION section contains an account of the 24th memorial event dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel Goran Ostojić, which was held recently in Jagodina and was attended by fellow soldiers and admirers of this Košare hero who had commanded “Follow me!” until his last breathe. This section also contains a text about the winners of the “Our Soldier, Our Hero” children’s art competition.

The HISTORY section offers the portrait of General Charles de Gaulle, entitled "Leader of Free France", and the SPORTS section contains a text about the "Tara Safari", a new attraction prepared by the Tara Military Establishment for visitors to this beautiful Serbian mountain, which is also a thematic framework for a great story about an alpinist, Lieutenant Colonel Milan Končar, who started his adventure in the nature by going on hiking tours, and today he is preparing to climb a 7,134-metre mountain top.

There are many reasons why you should get your own June issue of “Odbrana” magazine on time.
