Minister Stefanović: We must not allow the heroism of Serbian soldiers who fought at Paštrik to fall into oblivion
Today, on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Battle of Paštrik, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has said that we must not allow the superhuman heroism of Serbian soldiers, who defended our homeland at Paštrik in 1999 with all their might, skill and heart, to fall into oblivion.
"They managed to stop the penetration of terrorist KLA troops and their further advancement, they managed to repel the attacks and win the battle at Paštrik. Some of them paid a huge price for that sacrificing the most valuable thing they had - laying down their lives for Serbia. That is why Serbia is obliged to remember their outstanding courage and their ordeal," said Minister Stefanović.
According to him, we owe it to the Paštrik fighters to build strong Serbian Armed Forces that will give our people a peace of mind and guarantee that our children will never be at war again, because no one will dare to think of threatening our national security.
