"Military Doctor in the Country” campaign in municipalities of Tutin and Sjenica
This week, members of the 2nd Army Brigade have been running the “Military Doctor in the Country” campaign in the villages of Eastern and Western Mojstir in the vicinity of Tutin and the village of Bare in the municipality of Sjenica.
This civil-military cooperation project has been co-organized with the Red Cross, local health centres and municipal administrations in order to provide medical care to the local residents who have poor access to health care due to the remoteness of the villages they live in.
As part of the project, military doctors and nurses have performed preventive medical examinations in village health care facilities and homes of the people with impaired physical mobility and immobility. Food parcels, provided by the Red Cross, have also been distributed to underprivileged families.
As many times before, the locals have expressed deep gratitude for the Serbian Armed Forces’ campaign providing medical checkups for them in their villages. They have also expressed gratitude for SAF members’ cordiality, readiness to listen to them and provide every assistance possible.
As part of their third mission, the Serbian Armed Forces carry out numerous civil-military cooperation projects, both in this and other parts of the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of providing assistance to residents of remote villages and strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.
