Almost 170 members of Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces at 35th Belgrade Marathon
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has wished members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces lots of success at the 35th Belgrade Marathon. Traditionally, a large number of members of MoD and SAF participate in this sporting event.
Today, eight of our members are competing in the 42-kilometre race, and about 160 officers, NCOs, soldiers, civilians, cadets and military school students are taking part in the half marathon.
"Thank you for your abiding love of our Serbia! For showing again and again why we are so proud of you! Boys and girls, good luck!", wrote Minister Stefanović in his Facebook post.
Minister Stefanović also noted that the Military Academy, as in previous years, helps organize the biggest mass-participation sports competition in our country, and that more than 150 cadets and students of the Military Grammar School and the Secondary Vocational Military School will be handing out drinks today at refreshment stands along the marathon route.
