Tank units undergo regular training
Collective training for professional M-84 tank crews is underway in the 4th Army Brigade tank battalion in Vranje.
This is regular training for officers and soldiers serving in armoured units, whose goal is to maintain and improve their ability to fulfil the tasks performed by this unit in peace and war.At the training grounds, the tank crews are practicing the combat use of M-84 tanks in offensive and defensive operations conducted by the Army and are preparing for the execution of tactical live-fire exercises where their firepower and competence for carrying out unit-specific tasks will be checked.
The M-84 tanks are the basic combat weapon of Army brigades’ tank battalions. They are intended for rapid, sudden and robust action, primarily when executing the offensive segment of operations, but also in anti-tank fighting, which gives them the leading role and the greatest significance in the Serbian Armed Forces’ first mission.
