SAF members' success at UNIFIL competition



Members of the Serbian Armed Forces have achieved great success at a sports competition in UNIFIL, winning a total of six medals in several disciplines.
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has congratulated members of the Serbian contingent, emphasizing that they represent their armed forces and country well in an international environment by demonstrating professionalism and excellent training in the execution of the mission tasks and achieving top sports results.
 
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces have won trophies in volleyball, basketball and futsal competitions, and have taken the first three places in individual chess competitions.

The United Nations peacekeepers’ sports competitions are traditionally organized in Lebanon so that members of the armed forces of different countries, who work together to preserve peace in this Middle Eastern country, can compete in sports disciplines and develop friendly relations.
