Two Awards for “Zastava Film” on Documentary Film Festival “Zlatna Buklija”
The Military Film Centre “Zastava Film” of Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence won two prestigious awards at 17th International Festival of Documentary Film “Zlatna Buklija” (Golden Flask) held in Velika Plana.
In the competition of 300 films from several countries of the region, “Zastava Film” won the first Grand Prix in the historical documentary film category for the film “War brigades of Yugoslav Armed Forces – 243rd Mechanised Brigade” the script of which was written by retired General Dragan Kolundžija, and which was directed by Dragoljub Elčić. The second Grand Prix went to the film “Soldiers’ romances forever” directed by Željko Mirković, which won the sympathies of the panel with a likable and touching story about soldiers’ romances evoked by the participants in the film “Soldiers’ romances” filmed 20 years ago.
The awards were conferred to Director of the Military Film Centre “Zastava Film” Colonel Goran Ikonić, who expressed his gratitude for the awards on behalf of the authors, particularly stressing the significance of the topics of the awarded films for the future generations of the young who would opt for the military profession.
This year’s Festival in Velika Plana was marked by the performance of the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički”.
